This special exhibition is the first for James Mance, Sr. who lost his battle with cancer this past January;  He specialized in hand-carved decoys.  Betsy Potter is an artist who features the natural world in her paintings and pastels.  Melissa Mance, James Mance’s daughter, has recently shown her paintings and drawings at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology since her work often features birds.

Betsy Potter and Melissa Mance chose the exhibition title "Not Forgotten" not only to commemorate the recent loss of a parent for both artists, but also to highlight their desire to showcase the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
