ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND TRIP - JANUARY 17-23, 2008

All photos on these pages were taken by Betsy Potter and Willie D'Anna.  Betsy used a Canon Powershot S5 IS.  Willie digiscoped with a Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera and a Kowa 883 spotting scope.  We have many people to thank for this trip, in particular Jean Iron and Ron Pittaway, the organizers and great friends.  Willie continues to learn from Jean about digiscoping - she is one of the very best.  Jean's photos can be seen here.  Kevin McLaughlin, another regular and affable gull-watching companion, found several of the interesting gulls.  Bruce Mactavish, who has put St. John's on the world-map of great gull watching places, has inspired us with his knowledge and incredible photos.
